My Birthday Update

So as I promised, I wanted to be sure to update everyone with the outcome of my birthday celebration. The Bloomingdale's Gala in San Francisco was a blast. The store is the second largest in the chain (the 1st in NY) and has a ton of great merch. It's 5 levels of shopping bliss. At the gala, they had an open bar, full sushi station and various food stations serving everything from grill cheese to rack of lamb. They also had some wonderful bands playing on each floor (sometimes two at a time) and we even got a concert from Chris Botti ( a Grammy award winning jazz saxophonist). Lastly, I got to network and meet some wonderful people. For the fear of sounding nouveau riche, I won't name drop but let's just say I met some company founders, PR reps, and modeling agency owners. More importantly, we got a fabulous gift bag which contained a $25 gift certificate to Bloomingdale's, a membership to an exclusive fitness club in the bay area (it's usually open by invite only) and some Bloomingdale's trinkets. It's was BIG FUN and me/my gfs had a blast! We capped of the night with Dinner at Bucca di Beppo complete with raspberry pound cake with ice cream--YUM!

Styl'd to a "T"

Since my birthday, I've been really busy preparing for my shoots in October. I have two booked as a now with three more in the pipeline. My first shoot takes places next week and is for an Ad Agency based out of Japan. We will be capturing some stock photography photos (think Getty Images) in some wonderful locations throughout the Bay Area. My next shoot is for emerging magazine targeted at African American teenager girls. I will be providing the looks for the cover. This time gathering the clothing will be so much easier b/c I was given more time to gather my resources. I'm also holding interviews to fill the assistant position that I posted about earlier. I have a ton of applicants so I'm sure I can find a qualified applicant.

Frantic Friday

I'm still tired from my journey to LA! The day has just flown by and I have so much more to accomplish. I had a quick minute so I stopped by Anthropologie.com. Honestly, their prices are ALOT HIGHER than what I'm used to but they have some great pieces. Here's what I found...

It was a hard decision (I love the old version) but I think it'll allow me to better fine tune my blog and make it more enjoyable for my readers. Everything else will remain the same. Styl'd to a "T"

I have just been booked for two HUGE jobs next month! I'm so excited. One is a lifestyle shoot (think stock photography--what Yahoo and Google use on their homepages) and one is a personal project (the photographer has an idea and wants to shoot some images to bring it to life). The personal projects are always a lot of fun because everyone has their own creative input and there's no client to please. Both projects should span about 15-20 days total (not in cession...thank God) and should bring in a hefty check by the end of the month. I have the pleasure of working with a very talented photographer and I'll get to visit some beautiful locales throughout the Bay Area. I'll even be shooting in a winery in Napa and that should be lots of fun. I'll promise to keep you posted with any updates so...STAY TUNED!

I just bought a great necklace at Forever 21 that is the perfect compliment for these earrings. Now that I think about, the owl necklace that I posted last month would look great with these as well. These earrings are a neutral color and will pretty much look great with anything (preferably gold).
