Miss Modern Comforter Cover
Is anyone else over this cold winter weather? It seems like everyday the temperature drops another 10 degrees. The moment I think I've got my winter gear just right, that wind hits ME and I realize I need more layers. The cover is super stylish and could give my comforter a much needed facelift. I'll just slide my headed blanket underneath and be as snug as a bug in a rug. What could be better than that?

One month after her pregancy was confirmed, British singer, Lily Allen, has suffered a miscarriage. At press time, her spokesman Jon Bills issued the following statement:
"She and her partner, Ed Simons [of The Chemical Brothers], will be making no further comment and we ask that their privacy be respected during this difficult time"
My prayers are with the Allen and Simons family as they mourn this tragic lost.
Greedy. Unfair. Selfish. If you've ever worked in corporate america, you know how dismal the cube farm can be. From write ups to layoffs, it's always the little guys that feels the heat. That is until the writer's strike. The little guys are standing up and saying, "Get your foot off my neck and pay me what's rightfully mine!" I wholeheartly support my brothers and sisters in the struggle and gladly share this video with you. If you're pissed because they've canceled your favorite show and are tired of watching ridiculous re-runs, watch this video and get a new outlook on the struggle.

Recap: Over the past couple of weeks, I've found so many fantastic items to splurge on during my "ME and My Money" series. This week begins a new series entitled, "My 2 Cents" where I share my thoughts on everything from music to celebrities.
Today's 2 cents: I'm really mad at Hype and Ne-Yo for this one. LOVE the song, HATE the video. Did you listen to the lyrics of this powerful ballad? How dare they do it such a great dis-service by featuring 1/2 naked women flinging their hair wildly about. What happened to the story line? When I first heard this song, so many ideas for a video popped into my head. None of which was achieved with this onscreen disaster. To put it nicely, you missed the mark with this one Hype! Next time guys, consult with ME so we produce a REAL video with substance.

For spring, I'd add a cute silver clutch, open toe wedge heels (the color would depend on my mood) and some fantastic silver hoops.

How freak'n cute is this lil' elephant?! This would be the perfect accessory for any nursery and a must have for any new mother. I can just see it sitting on the window seal with the morning sunshine highlighting this delicate purple color. Now the real question is, "Will I have the patience to knit this work of art?"

This cardigan is so cute! It can be worn belted, buttoned [as shown] or open. I'd pair with leggins or skinny jeans for a streamlined look. This is also the same sweater Blair wore on Gossip Girl.
A word of caution: If you're heavy on the top or have a lil' more to love around the middle, you may want to pass on the horizontal stripes and opt for a figure flattering vertical stripe version.

The color navy is definitely what's hot for '08. Although I'm always a girl who opts for a french manicure, this nail polish may convince ME to sing a new tune. It'll definitely look good on my lil' piggies after my pedi and due to its popularity, it's SOLD OUT everywhere. So, it looks like I need to get on eBay to track this polish down.
A word of caution: This color is best reserved for those with short nails unless you want look like Elvira.

Lord, if you ever decide to bless ME with a child, I'd like to order a sweet baby girl. I'd put her in these luxurious flats complete with a tulle skirt trimmed in gold and white grosgrain headband.
